no hechizados, no,

The World First
Emptiness, the emptiness in you
Fill it, fill it with, I don't know,
Something, not with toys, not with
Mythologies, fill it
With something, no, you can't, with solid
Villages, or seas, bottle corks, desire,
Inconspicuous bent nails, almost anything,
Fury of enemies, whatever grips
Fill the emptiness for fear
Fill it for never ending
Fill the emptiness or it will tear off heads,
The heads you love, watch them, down the drain
Float like yours, the heads,
Howl and tumble, torn off, not much
Not much to hold on to
Fill the emptiness, facing it, raw grief
Now and really surrounds your face,
Fill it with that, if you can, the world first
And do not dwell on it, laborious, only,
Shapeless hole, seize it, can you,
Scattered curse, you can't blot it out
But clear figures, more than imagine
Other worlds, they spin with other feeling, fill it
Fill it with them, you can't, trackless
No map, impenetrable, specific, you
Can't, but make them dance it out, different,
Muscular and trim, repeat it over and over
Only to yourself, can you now, the emptiness,
Know it inside out, always there,
The great sucking emptiness you keep
Replenishing with towns, the birds, a river,
Roofs of old tiles red and wet with dawn,
You can't, it is always there, control
Impermanent in the timed flight of words
And with your interior animals refresh it,
In first light they do face one another, free
Not spellbound, not,
By the gaze of any remote Upholder,
When for them you invent an open deep indwelling,
Can you, and a secret air, for there you plant
Under the clocks and mouths, under the drums
No foundation without fault, emptiness
Not like this, a turning around, but to be made
Into the holy field of apple trees
If death itself be no more strange or final
